Olivier finished his master’s degree in Economics at Science-Po in Paris, completing his master’s in Tourism Development at the Sorbonne. At Amsterdam Marketing, he is responsible for research & analytics. He is able to translate complex data into concrete action. He is able to summarise vast quantities of data into coherent reports, visualisations and infographics (data visualisation). Driven by his boundless curiosity, he stays on top of the latest trends in the world of digital analytics. In addition to his activities in Amsterdam, he also teaches ‘marketing intelligence applied in tourism’ at the Sorbonne, connecting practice and theory. Since 2010, Olivier has chaired the Research & Statistics Expert Group for European City Marketing. Constant improvement and innovation is a major priority, and he derives considerable inspiration from this European partnership. His innovative view has been rewarded twice already with the ‘UNWTO Ulysses Awards for innovation’. He started his career in 2004 as manager of Research at the Paris Visitors & Convention Bureau. When he moved to Amsterdam, the switch to Amsterdam Tourism & Congress Bureau was the next logical step.
Olivier is able to take complex issues and transform them into their basic, logical building blocks and data. From there, he translates into concrete steps for action and follow-up. Using his flair, he knows how to make people move forward, motivating them with his energy as well as his capacity to explain matters clearly. He has a keen eye for his environment and is able to translate the developments in a fast-changing world into factual knowledge.
